The Design Kids

The innovative concept of a “pink lie,” a term coined by Fredrik Öst. A “pink lie” is a unique kind of falsehood, crafted with the intention of transforming an untruth into a reality, only to later return it to its original form.

In a bold move to establish their reputation, SNASK employed the concept of the “pink lie” to secure speaking engagements at prominent design schools in Sweden. They fabricated a story about a world tour and their intention to return to Sweden for free lectures, a ploy that garnered interest from numerous institutions. This strategic deception not only allowed them to gain invaluable experience but also led to opportunities to lecture at major conferences globally. (The Design Kids)

This strategic deception provided Snask with invaluable experience, allowing them to hone their speaking skills and build a portfolio of engagement before they had even truly begun. What initially started as a playful exaggeration became a gateway to prestigious opportunities, leading them to lecture at major design conferences globally.

“When you present at conferences you get fans, get clients”
